YAMAHA FJR1300 : MORE REVIEWS – Part 1

REVIEW 1:

Good points

The FJR is comfortable, elegant, bears much kit and very fast. The tank of 25 litres gives the bike a fantastic range. The screen adjustable provide as much or little protection as you wish. Around Sports Tourer – at home in the Alps or the highway!

Bad points
The suspension is a bit too sweet (even on the hard setting).

General comments

The Yamaha FJR is one of the most amazing and reliable bike on the market. Style, comfort and incredible power of super good engine. I recently completed 100000 miles on my FJR and he never missed a beat. During this period, I only changed the rear wheel bearings and a disc. Engine has been robbed twice, with only a valve hold rotation necessary. The value all 6000 miles.

REVIEW 2:

Good points
Looks, couple, travel range, comfort, shaft drive

Bad points
Battery accessibility, new bike has all the things that are lacking on the first models!

I had my Yamaha FJR1300 for four years and nearly making every day as it is my only means of transport. It is a great bike for every opportunity to keep up with the sport bikes if you’re brave enough! I have been throughout the United Kingdom to another and loved every minute. I go out of a “spin” and it ends up being a journey 200 miles now, I have my navigation system installed.
I went to Spain last year (my first trip abroad) and wish I did a few years ago. Nearly 4000 miles in 12 days and it was brilliant and very comfortable. I did meet once for sports guys twice (almost three times). I am going to France, then on another trip to Spain again later this year and I can not wait.

I installed a big screen, Autocom (for passenger transport, navigation system, MP3 player and mobile phone), Garmin Streetpilot 2610, heated grips, Givi rack and cases, mudguards extenda, and a rear suspension OHLINS unit on order for the time being. A large bicycle with a large number of new pieces and bobs on the new 2006 model.

REVIEW 3:

Good points
High rpm power / low torque rpm, drive shaft, ABS brakes, excellent energy efficiency
Bad points
Hot left leg on hot days. Stock windshield too small.

The Tourism Yamaha FJR1300 bike is excellent. Here in the States, we must put a deposit, then wait 5 months for cycling, without even having sat on one. I took a chance and I could not be happier. The engine will draw heavily from 1500 rpm up a gear. Power greater than 6000 rpm is unbelievable. 52 mpg on the open road. (I think that is 22.2 km / litre or 4.51 liters/100km you Britons, hope, I have the right math) The suspension is supple over bumps, but firmly planted. Are powerful brakes. I love the 5-speed transmission. With sufficient torque, you do not need 6. I think our model year 2005 is your 2004.
